I went through my Self Portrait folder and found one exercise which shows my 2nd rough idea, Iy was done at the same same time when i took a picture of myself as a drag.
I've been watching the progress of your composites with interest; I think you have a pure concept - using composites of your family to create an 'Alexandre Hyrbid' - so be careful now about 'muddying the waters' with additional information or aesthetics; so, for instance, the version you created with the sand texture - is this a layer of meaning too far? Discuss! :-)
about the sand layer, it has a meaning behind it, about past more precisely childhood and also change and molding myself with time, but after i made it, i started to think if it wouldnt be too cliche and if it didnt pull the attention to the texture.
Also i came up with other idea to not grab the attention to the sand texture i will post it soon, i dont want my portrait to show too much complexity, so i have to keep it simple
