Unit 6- Mycelium Pre-viz *3

After the feedback pointing out some minor changes I should do to this scene, I quickly changed it and I can say it is working much better, tilt upwards of the camera really creates the sense of greatness and vastness. Also good to mention more hyphae will connect the mycelium on the back part of the model

Hey Rubes - I think you need some camera movement as the ball grows; so, you move towards it with the camera looking 'down' on its top surface, and then, as it grows, the camera actually moves down to point up at the base of the ball - as if tracking its circumference - an arc from top to bottom, with the camera tucked a little way underneath it - or does this cause problems for the next sequence?

the next sequence, the growth and the launching of the camera to chase it

Just wondering if it wont be to many bumps, I mean being up going down and up again :S

yep - maybe - but can you add a pan towards the ball - just a slight camera push to keep things in motion - for all the shaking and the expansion, this shot still feels a bit static...

hi Rubes, I pointed out a similar point to Leo, the ends of your mycellium are quite in your face, that is no bad thing, but the open ended cylinder might need some refinement to take away its cg cylinder origins and look more organic.

@phil
I will add the pan on the expansion, and se how it goes

@Simon

I will refined this circles, I use them to quickly do the pre-viz

at 54 secs - the camera, which has been moving constantly, comes to a total stop - as if the breaks have gone on - try and keep the camera in motion (hence the panning in) - it doesn't have to be fast, but you should try and ease into the slower movement... anyway, poor Rubes - enough now perhaps (but stay conscious of that ease-in/ease-out motion - it's like a dancer finishing off a big movement in their body via the a small movement of their fingers; try and stop your camera from 'hitting' the wall)...

Anyway - that's me off for a cuppa and maybe a few lines of this bloody book I'm supposed to be writing!
