Rule of Thirds

After last week, Alan presented us with the rule of thirds, a rule used in film to help with the composition of each scene, he asked us to try while watching a film.
I found really interesting that almost all of the scenes ''obey'' to this rule, but also to others such diagonals, or the vanishing point.

here's my experiment while watching Pan's Labyrinth and Ninth Gate:


Also, while applying the rule of thirds, the elements in the scene can be in thirds like shown in these 2 pictures above or on thirds, like shown in the 2 pictures below.
