So researching a bit more into uncanny objects, I found something that may be familiar to most of us , the crystal ball machine in the fun fairs , I still remember when I used to go to them as a child , and suddenly I would hear this otherworldly voice calling people to see their future, apart from already deal with something so important as reading the future, the non appealing appearance of the wise man was something that always disturbed, as a child I even thought was actually someone inside that glass, just like a normal person.
This machine is a big attraction in the film Big, from 1988.
This second example, is a peculiar sculpture made Enrico David and is nominated for the Turner Prize this year.
